Edwin Mohamed Kamara holds an honours degree in Environmental Sciences and double Master of Science Degrees in the fields of Environment and Development and Public Health.

He holds several other professional training certificates in Leadership, Management and Social Security Administration.

He is a strategic and visionary leader with over twenty years of managerial experience. Mr. Kamara has also acquired over five years of executive and governance knowledge, serving on corporate, finance and nonprofit Boards. He has a proven track record in guiding organizational strategy, ensuring fiduciary oversight, and driving sustainable growth.

He is adept at balancing stakeholders interests, mitigating risk, fostering ethical practices, engraving high-performance cultures and guiding companies though transformative change while ensuring compliance and sustainable growth.

He is currently serving as a Director on the Sierra Leone Student Loan Board, Sierra Leone Social Protection Regulatory Authority Board, and the Commerce and Mortgage Bank PLC Board. He is also Chairman of the Technical Committee for the design of the Informal Sector Social Security Scheme.

He is currently the Deputy Director General, Operations of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust.
