Velma A E Labor joined the bank as Head of Information and Communication Technology in 2008, with responsibilities for the bank’s entire ICT infrastructure. Before her appointment, she worked in the telecommunications (GSM) and IT (VSAT) sectors for several years. She later became director of support services, overseeing admin, human resources, project management, and ICT departments. She led the bank’s digital transformation drive into online and mobile banking. She was appointed acting executive director of support services in January 2021. She is currently the executive director, a role she occupied since 2022 to date.

Mrs. Labor holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Engineering, both from the University of Sierra Leone (USL). She is a Microsoft System Certified Engineer (MSCE) & CompTIA++ certified.
