Aiah Edward Fomba

Aiah Edward Fomba is an accomplished HR leader and corporate administrator with over 16 years of professional experience spanning human resources, facilities management, procurement, and corporate real estate services in the banking sector. He currently serves as Head of Human Resources at Commerce & Mortgage Bank Sierra Leone Plc, where he drives organizational efficiency, staff welfare, and strategic HR service delivery.

Aiah brings a unique blend of financial acumen and HR expertise, holding a Master’s in Finance and Accounting (2018), a B.Sc. in Applied Accounting (2010), and advanced professional certifications including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD, Award in HR, 2023) and a Chartered Banker from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (2025). His academic and professional journey reflects a commitment to continuous learning and leadership excellence.

Throughout his career, Aiah has held senior roles at Access Bank Sierra Leone Limited and Standard Chartered Bank Sierra Leone Limited, where he managed HR service delivery, payroll administration, compliance, employee relations, and performance management systems. He has also contributed significantly to corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls, actively participating in executive management committees (CMT/EXCO/MANCO) to shape strategic decision-making.

His earlier career includes leadership in Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES), where he oversaw property management, facilities operations, and sustainability initiatives across Standard Chartered Bank’s Sierra Leone portfolio. He also gained valuable procurement and administrative experience at Sam-King Group of Companies, strengthening his operational and managerial foundation.
